Turning  Literature into Theatre

For ages 6-10 (JULY 15-19, 1-3 PM)

Theatre, as any director will tell you, is all about telling stories. Newsies tells the story of the newspaper strike in 1899, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of the beloved Fairy Tale. So, what better place to look for children’s plays than in literature?

We will take a different children’s book each day and adapt it into a skit that the kids can perform. Camp will include theatre games and some craft activities; the kids will do a performance for the parents on Friday afternoon.
